NSU University Arts Center
to Serve as Site of Chamber Breakfast
Davie, FL. – Nova Southeastern University will host the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce Biz Perks Breakfast on Friday, March 9, 2007, from 8:00AM to 9:00AM.
Serving as backdrop for the event is the new University Arts Center. Managed by NSU’s Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, the University Arts Center is home to the college’s performing and visual arts program. The facility will include a 300 seat performance theatre with full staging capacity for concerts, plays, movie and lectures; a “Black Box” theatre with flexible seating arrangements for multiple staging options and a gallery for the display of private art collections, photography, and student artwork.
Tours of the University Arts Center will be available as well as the opportunity to meet Don Rosenblum, Ph.D, Dean of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, faculty, staff and members of the Nova Southeastern University community.
NSU is the largest independent, not-for-profit institution of higher education in the Southeast, and the sixth largest nationally.
NSU’s Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences offers a rich variety of opportunities in theater and the performing arts, through the college’s Division of Humanities. The program includes a B.A. in theatre with future curricula in music, art and film.
