NSU’s New Theatre Program Presents Second Production for 2005-2006 Season

FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE , FL -- Nova Southeastern University’s new Theatre Program will present its second production, Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America, February 24–26, 2006 in the Mailman Auditorium, 2nd floor of the Hollywood-Mailman Building on NSU's main campus. Admission is free.

Adapted from journalist Barbara Ehrenreich’s New York Times best-selling book, the play demonstrates the stark lives and times experienced by a third of working Americans today.

The Theatre Program is housed in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Humanities. The next production will be:

  • World Theatre Project, a reading and lecture series that will focus on international playwrights. The World Theatre Project is scheduled for two evenings, April 10 and 11, 2006. On each night a different play will be read. Following each reading will be a “talk back” discussion with the audience facilitated by an expert on the play’s country of origin.
