Author Mary Higgins Clark to Kick Off NSU Forums Speaker Series
Reception/Dinner Scheduled for Feb. 23; Luncheon Scheduled for Feb. 24

FORT LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, FL—Renowned best-selling author Mary Higgins Clark will kick off the 2005 Nova Southeastern University Forums Speaker Series on Wednesday, February 23 with a cocktail reception and dinner at the Harbor Beach Marriot Resort & Spa, Fort Lauderdale, and a luncheon on Thursday, February 24 at the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club in Boca Raton.

Clark’s books are worldwide bestsellers. In the United States alone, she has sold more 70 million books. Her current book is a holiday thriller, The Christmas Thief, coauthored with her daughter, bestselling suspense writer Carol Higgins Clark. Clark’s new suspense novel, No Place Like Home, will be published by Simon & Schuster in April 2005.

As the author of 23 suspense novels, and three collections of short stories, many of Clark’s works were made into TV films and two of her novels – Where Are the Children? and A Stranger is Watching – were made into feature films.

The cocktail reception (Feb. 23) will be hosted by NSU’s Gold Circle, and sponsored by Comerica Bank Wealth & Institutional Management. The Harbor Beach Marriott Resort is located at 3030 Holiday Drive, Fort Lauderdale. The cocktail reception will begin at 6:00 p.m., dinner at 7:00 and the author presentation will begin at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $125.00 per person.
