NSU To Expand Programs In Orlando With Grand Opening Of Its New Student Educational Center
State-of-the-Art Educational Center Is Located Adjacent To New Mall At Millenia

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL- Nova Southeastern University's (NSU) Orlando Student Educational Center will host a grand opening on Wednesday, February 11 celebrating its move to its new home at the Millenia Center. The new facility will allow for an expansion of programs that will increase educational opportunities for students in Central Florida.

For more than 20 years, NSU has offered students in central Florida diverse educational programs, including an associate's degree in early childhood education, bachelor's degree programs in business professional management and education, graduate degree programs in business administration, education, mental health counseling, school guidance and counseling, and speech-language pathology. Doctoral programs are offered in business, educational leadership, organizational leadership, pharmacy, child and youth studies, and higher education leadership, along with specialist programs in education and school psychology. NSU proudly boasts 5,000 alumni in Central Florida.

“NSU's state-of-the-art educational facility at the new Millenia Center will benefit both our current students, and future students throughout Central Florida, giving NSU the opportunity to expand its programs and services,” said NSU President Ray Ferrero, Jr. “While our old facility in Winter Park served us well, this new facility more closely matches the explosive growth and vibrancy that Orlando represents. We are grateful to NSU's faculty and staff in the Orlando Student Educational Center for making it possible for NSU to offer students in Central Florida access to cutting-edge educational programs.”

The state-of-the-art, three-story, 60,000 square-foot building is conveniently located off of I-4, adjacent to the new Mall at Millenia, on more than 10 acres in one of the fastest growing areas in Orlando. The new facility will provide NSU's more than 1,100 students in the Orlando area an enhanced academic atmosphere in a building with 38 classrooms that each feature internet connectivity, a large conference center, a 900-square-foot lecture hall, 300-seat meeting facility, multiple computer labs (two of which are more than 1,000 square feet), a scenic tropical lake exposure, and more than 700 parking spaces. The Orlando Student Educational Center also will benefit the entire Orlando-area community, providing a perfect venue for community meetings and seminars.

The grand opening ceremony of the Orlando Student Educational Center will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11. NSU President Ray Ferrero, Jr., will be on hand for the festivities, along with Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Orange County Chairman Richard Crotty.

The new site is visible from I-4 at the Conroy Road exit. For more information on NSU's Orlando Student Educational Center, contact Site Director Frank LaTorre at 407-264-5600 or email latorref@nsu.nova.edu.
