NSU's Linda A. Simunek, Ph.D., To Serve As Keynote Speaker At Seventh Annual Nursing Assembly At University Of West Florida
FORT LAUDERDALE , FL - Dr. Linda A. Simunek, Program Professor of Educational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University 's (NSU) Fischler Graduate School of Education and Human Services, will serve as keynote speaker at the 7 th Annual Nursing Assembly of the Department of Nursing at the University of West Florida (UWF) in Pensacola , FL , on Thursday, March 11.
Dr. Simunek's address is titled “Ethical and Legal Analysis in Professional Nursing Practice: Advancing Nursing as a Moral Community.” According to Laurel Boyd, assistant professor of nursing at UWF, the Nursing Assembly “provides a venue in Pensacola for all registered nursing associations to come together once a year for continuing education, networking and camaraderie.”
Linda A. Simunek, Ph.D., J.D., R.N., A.R.N.P., is a member of the editorial boards of refereed professional publications, including The Journal of Nursing Law and The Journal of Nursing Management: Law and Ethics . In the summer of 2002, Dr. Simunek served as a Fellow in the Center for Ethics and Human Rights of the American Nurses Association in Washington , D.C. Dr. Simunek is a member of the South Florida Working Group on Ethics and Law, and serves as a board member of Florida Initiative for Suicide Prevention (FISP).
