Center At NSU Offers Exciting Programs For January
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - Free programs
for children and families are offered each week at the Alvin Sherman
Library, Research, and Information
Technology Center, a joint-use facility between the Broward County
Board of County Commissioners and Nova Southeastern University.
In January 2004, the Sherman Library takes part in “One Book,
One Broward,” promoting the reading of “Tuesdays with Morrie” by
Mitch Albom with readings, discussions, and other special programs.
The Sherman Library is also proud to host a prestigious traveling exhibit, “Forever
Free: Abraham Lincoln’s Journey to Emancipation.” Special
programs are planned relating to these events as well as Martin Luther
King, Jr.’s birthday.
January children’s programs include:
- Every Tuesday – Mother Goose Storytime. Infants to 35 months
with caregiver. 10:30-10:50 a.m.
- Every Wednesday – Storytime
Fun, ages 3 to 5, 10:00-10:30 a.m.
