NSU Hosts Exhibit - Silent Witnesses: Behind The Scenes At The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
FORT LAUDERDALE , FL --- Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will host the exhibit, “Silent Witnesses: A Behind the Scenes Look at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum .” This exhibit will be on display at NSU's Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center from February 27 through March 11, 2004.
The exhibit, which is a result of a partnership between The United
States Holocaust Memorial Museum and Northern Trust Company, displays
more than 50 compelling photographs showcasing how the Museum has reached
more than 20 million people, including 6 million schoolchildren, since
its opening in April 1993. The display highlights Museum programs impacting
those in the fields of law enforcement, education, religion, and the
military, both in Washington , DC , and in communities throughout the
country. The Silent Witnesses tour has previously visited Cleveland
and Seattle. Featured at museums, schools and select Northern Trust
locations, the tour will visit six other cities: Los Angeles ; Detroit
; Houston ; Miami ; Chicago ; and Las Vegas.
Since opening to the public in April 1993, the U.S. Holocaust Memorial
Museum has welcomed more than 20 million visitors, including six million
schoolchildren. A public-private partnership, the Museum is a federal
institution whose varied educational activities and outreach are made
