NSU's Health Professions Division to
Host "Bal Fantastique" Annual Fund-Rraiser
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Health Professions Division (HPD) of Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will hold its annual fund-raising gala -Bal Fantasique - on Saturday, March 27 in the Crystal Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Hotel in Fort Lauderdale.
Funds raised during the event are used to benefit the NSU Health Professions Division Foundation. The nonprofit foundation utilizes the funds to promote research, establish scholarships for deserving students, update equipment, and enhance the teaching environment of the division's nationally renowned Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, Pharmacy, Optometry, Allied Health and Nursing, Medical Sciences and Dental Medicine.
This year's event will pay tribute to the memory of Dr. Morton Terry, founder of NSU's Health Professions Division, who passed away in January. The continued success of the black-tie Bal Fantastique is due largely to the combined efforts of chairpersons Geraldine Terry, Judy Lippman, Sheila Tischenkel, and Ronnie Oller. Each year the committee chooses a special event theme.
Last year, the event drew over 400 people from South Florida's business, education, and health care communities. The excitement begins with cocktails at 7:00 p.m., followed by a dinner and dancing with a full orchestra at 8:00 p.m. For more information contact: Jay Tischenkel at (954) 262-1501.
