NSU Students Celebrate International Students Awareness Week

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL—The Nova Southeastern University International Students Association (NISA) will celebrate International Student Awareness Week, March 21-27, culminating with a Cultural Explosion event on April 11.

NISA will kick off the week on Friday, March 21 with the inaugural Vision International Conference and Forum 2003 at 6:00 p.m., on the grounds in front of Rosenthal Student Union on NSU's main campus. Over 600 students, and guests representing more than 91 countries will be in attendance at the conference, which will discuss issues such as INS regulations, scholarships for international students, the United Nations, international relations and more.

Other activities and events that will be co-sponsored by the Office of Career Services will include:

Open House for International Students, 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m, Monday, March 24, in the Library, Research, and Information Technology Center, Office of Career Services, 4th floor
A Global Village Cultural Food Expo, 12noon, Monday, March 24th, in the front of the Parker Building

Immigration Attorney Seminar, 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 25 in the Library, Research, and Information Technology Center room 4009
Foreign Students & Friendly Employers, 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, in the Library, Research, and Information Technology Center, Office of Career Services, 4th floor
Job Searching in the United States, 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 27, in the Library, Research, and Information Technology Center room 4009
Cultural Explosion featuring cultural dances, fashion show, drama and talent show, Friday, April 11, 7:30 p.m., in the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center.
