North Miami Beach, FL 333162-3097

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Ian Jukes has been an educator, administrator, writer, consultant, university instructor and keynote speaker. As the Director of the InfoSavvy Group and The Committee Sardine website, he works closely with school districts, businesses, community organizations and other institutions to help shape preferred futures. Jukes' presentation profoundly challenges fundamental assumptions about new technologies and trends (Moore's Law, the Law of the Photon, the emergence of the Internet, the Age of InfoWhelm, the Age of Biotechnology and Nanotechnology) and the impact these trends will have on our lives, our organizations and our personal beliefs. We live in a world of constant change. These changes will affect our learning institutions, the classroom, the curriculum, learning, instruction, and our fundamental definition of intelligence. As an educational evangelist, Jukes avowed mission in life is to ensure that children and educators are properly prepared for these changes and the future.
