Wayne Dyer to Kick Off NSU Forums Speaker Series with February 4 Luncheon at Boca Raton Marriott

Dr. Wayne DyerFORT LAUDERDALE, FL— Renowned author and motivational speaker Wayne Dyer, Ph.D., will kick off the 2003 NSU Forums Speaker Series with a February 4 luncheon at the Boca Raton Marriott.

Dyer, recognized around the globe as one of the foremost speakers on self-development, has created numerous best-selling books, audios, and videos. He has appeared on thousands of television and radio programs, including The Today Show, the Tonight Show, and Oprah.

Through his books, tapes, and videos, Dyer has helped millions of people lead happier, more meaningful lives, and negotiate some of life's most troubling waters. He utilizes the process of meditation as a way of streamlining thoughts, desires, goals, and lives. The sound of meditation described in his books, he says, produced amazing manifestations in the lives of many people. He has heard of manifest job promotions, having a baby that supposedly was an impossibility, selling a home that was on the market for years without potential buyers, and other stories of prosperity and healing that border on being miracles.

Dyer has authored several books, including his latest, Wisdom of the Ages: 60 Days to Enlightenment, and several best-sellers including Your Erroneous Zones, Pulling Your Own Strings, and The Sky's the Limit. He holds a doctorate in counseling psychology.

Next month's luncheon with Dyer is the first of two NSU Forums dates for this year's series. The following month, NSU's continues its new “interview discussion” format, where former United States Ambassador to the United Nations Richard Holbrooke and his wife Kati Marton—acclaimed journalist and author—together will speak about the situation in the Middle East and the role of the United States. They will be interviewed by NSU undergraduate professor Tim Dixon on March 18, also at the Marriott.

Doors for both luncheons open at 12:15 p.m., with lunch served until 12:50 p.m. Dyer, however—following introductions—will speak from 1-2 p.m., and will answer questions on an individual basis afterwards. Cost for the luncheon event is $50 per person ($40 for NSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni). To reserve tickets and for more information, contact NSU's Peggy Burrows at (954) 262-2125.
