NSU to Host Annual Symposium on Diabetes for Health Care Professionals

WHO/WHAT: The Health Professions Division at Nova Southeastern University is hosting the, “Annual Symposium on Diabetes,” a Comprehensive Update for the Primary Health Care Provider.
   
WHEN: Saturday, March 8, 7:30 – 5:00 p.m.
   
WHERE: Hull Auditorium of the Terry Building, NSU Health Professions Division, 3200 South University Drive, Fort Lauderdale
   
BACKGROUND:

Diabetes is a chronic, complex and destructive disease that affects approximately 16 million Americans, and can cause a wide range of problems, including heart disease, kidney failure, amputations, and blindness. An interdisciplinary, team approach to management is essential.

This comprehensive program is designed to bring together primary care physicians and other health professionals who care for the patient with diabetes and manage complications of this disease. A multi-disciplinary faculty of acknowledged leaders in the field of diabetes will present current and future concepts in clinical management, within a team-oriented model of primary health care.

   
ACCREDITATION: Eight hours of CE credits have been approved for most health care professionals. (See brochure for specific information.)
   
REGISTRATION:

Registration fees below include breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, and all program materials.

Early Registration (received before March 7, 2003):
$150 for Health Care Professionals
$100 for HPD Clinical Adjunct Faculty, IGC Preceptors, Externship Directors
$ 75 for Residents and Fellows with ID
No fee for Students with ID

On-site Registration:
$195 for Health Care Professionals
