Local Student To Serve As Student Commencement Speaker At Nova Southeastern University
Ft Lauderdale-Davie, FL.-On Saturday, May 12, 2007, the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, and the Fischler School of Education and Human Services will jointly hold NSU’s 2007 Undergraduate Commencement Exercises.
Etta Mills, a finance major and resident of West Park, Florida, will serve as the 2007 Student Commencement Speaker. She will address an audience of more than 5,000 students, family members, and friends at the commencement ceremony, which will be held at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, FL.
Etta is on the Dean’s List and a member of several honor societies, including Alpha Chi National Honor Society and Sigma Beta Delta, the International Honor Society for Business. She is also active on campus in the Residential Student Association, Pan-African Student Association, and NSU Student Government Association, most recently serving as vice president of legislative affairs pro tempore. Etta additionally volunteers at the Star of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in West Park, Florida.
The former Ft. Lauderdale High School graduate plans to attend the Howard University School of Law.
