NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library Hosts Local Barbecue Baron July 2
Gear Up For 4th of July With Chef Darwin Brooks -

Get your 4th of July grilling cues from local Chef Darwin Brooks, a favorite among professional athletes and sports agents around the country. Don’t miss this live demonstration on July 2 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the library plaza of NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library, Research and Technology Center (3100 Ray Ferrero Blvd.).

Take notes as Chef Brooks shows viewers his tips to creating the best barbecue. Brooks is known as the “go to” barbeque chef for various NFL Drafts events conducted by such athletic giants as Drew Rosenhaus, New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, Jacksonville Jaguars. His local work is favored by the Miami Dolphins, Miami Hurricanes and Broward Sheriff’s Office.

With over 32 years of culinary training & experience and love of feeding people Chef Darwin established Papa Sauce Inc. in Deerfield Beach. Papa Sauce Inc. is a catering company specializing in southern comfort cuisine.

The Alvin Sherman Library is a joint-use facility, which is the result of an innovative agreement between NSU and the Broward County Board of Commissioners. The five-story Library, Research, and Information Technology Center is Florida's largest library at 325,000 square feet. It serves the residents of Broward County, as well as NSU students, faculty, and staff members.

Nova Southeastern University is the largest independent institution of higher education in the Southeast, and it is the 6th largest independent institution nationally. NSU awards associate's, bachelor's, master's, educational specialist, doctoral, and first-professional degrees in a wide range of fields.
