Come See The Hit Play “Nefertiti” On
NSU Night - May 12
FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, FL— The musical, “NEFERTITI,” which
premiered in Chicago nearly three decades ago, will begin its Fort Lauderdale
run May 4–15 at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale. Original
composer David Spangler, program administrator and artistic director
for the Interdisciplinary Arts Program at the Fischler School of Education
and Human Services and author Rick Gore, have brought new songs and a
revised book to the romantic tale of the ancient world's most famous
beauty and the two men who loved her.
An exclusive invitation is extended to the NSU
community to attend the Thursday, May 12 pre-show reception and performance
of NEFERTITI. This will be “NSU Night,” where all employees,
students and constituents of NSU can attend a world renowned, pre-Broadway
production at a special rate. For “NSU Night,” the $45 admission
ticket will cost only $30, which includes a pre-show reception with the
composer starting at 6:30 p.m. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
The performance starts at 8:00 p.m.
The production will be held at the Parker Playhouse
in Fort Lauderdale, located on U.S. 1 between Broward and Sunrise Boulevards.
