NSU to Break Ground for Premier, Multi-Purpose University Center

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL- Nova Southeastern University (NSU) is hosting a Groundbreaking Ceremony for its new 260,000 square foot, state of the art University Center at 4:30 p.m., on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 on the grounds south of Rosenthal Student Center on NSU's main campus. The public is invited to attend.

The University Center is a multi-use facility that will be the centerpiece of the main campus and will redefine NSU's relationship with its students, faculty, staff and the South Florida community. The Center will feature a student union, wellness and fitness center, performing arts venue, and a convocation center sports arena – the second largest of its kind in Broward County.

A community wide venue, the University Center will combine NCAA Division II and recreational athletics, as well as be a place to enjoy the fine arts, support personal wellness, nutrition and fitness, attend sports events, concerts and lectures, and host local, national and international conferences.
