FORT LAUDERDALE , FL - Nova Southeastern University's H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship will host 160 employees from Scandinavian PC Systems (SPCS) on Wednesday, April 7 and April 14 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Room 1124 of the new Carl DeSantis Building on NSU's main campus in Davie. A leading Swedish software company, SPCS offers its employees an annual educational trip to learn new concepts together and build teamwork.
According to Scandinavian PC Systems CEO and co-founder Rolf Dahlberg, “This annual educational trip allows us to reward the commitment and hard work of our employees. While we are away we are learning things that can help to spark new ideas within the company and make us see things from a different perspective.”
Headquartered in Växjö , Sweden , SPCS has 200 employees and is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2004. They currently have 50-percent of the market in Sweden for administrative software programs (ie. salary, bookkeeping and tax-planning programs) for small businesses. SPCS has received several national awards for customer service, sales and sales-support. In 2003 the company received the prestigious “Golden Mouse" award for best Swedish information technology (I.T.) company.

The new company is called Outstanding Latin Entertainment. Dr. J. Preston Jones, associate dean of NSU's H. Wayne Huizenga Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship, Management Education Professor Robert C. Preziosi, and Business Entrepreneurship Professor, Thomas Tworoger will also address the group during their visit to NSU. Topics covered will include entrepreneurship in America and leadership, as well as case studies of companies that have become successful.
“We are very proud that Swedish PC Systems has selected NSU as the school they want to visit during their tour to South Florida . This is an exciting opportunity for both NSU and Swedish PC Systems,” said Dr. Jones. “It allows us to interact first-hand with a European company that is on the cutting-edge, creating great products and backing them up with top-notch customer service. NSU's team will be able to provide the SPCS team with a dynamic look at the concept of American entrepreneurship and its outcomes.
