Building Your Personal Web Pages
To build your web pages you will need to have some basic tools. Some programs to get you building include:
- Netscape Composer (Free Software)
This program allows you to build basic web pages for your site. To learn how to use Netscape Composer, please visit the NSU Help Desk. - WS_FTP LE (Free Software)
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. FTP programs, such as WS_FTP LE, are mainly used to transfer files from your computer at home to your account on NSU's server. If you are publishing a web page to your NSU web space, for example, you may want to use an FTP program. To find out more about WS_FTP and to download the software, please visit the NSU Help Desk.
Accessing your NSU Personal Web Site
To view your web site, open a web browser and enter the following...www.nova.edu/~emailname.
Note: Replace 'emailname' with your NSU email name. For example johndoe@nova.edu, the email name would be johndoe and his website would be www.nova.edu/~johndoe.
