Available Equipment

A variety of electronic equipment is available for use in classrooms and for various other campus functions such as presentations, administrative meetings, student projects, and other events.

“Smart” Classrooms are equipped with an instructor’s station. The instructor's station includes a computer with Internet connection, peripherals such as a document camera, video projector, VCR, DVD, electronic whiteboard, and a slide-to-video projector.

They are useful for showing a VHS video on a standard theater-sized screen for a large audience.

Totes or TV/VCR's

They are small self-contained units consisting of a TV monitor and VCR which are suitable for small groups of people in an office environment.

They, of course, are mini movie cameras used for creating instant movies with 1/2" width VHS video tape for class projects, presentations, seminars or special events.

16mm Projectors

These are available for the showing of a few remaining reel-to-reel films in the CMT library.

Lecterns

These integrated public address (PA) systems consist of a podium with built in microphone and speakers.

P.A. Systems

For a really large audience these public address systems can be configured with multiple microphones and speakers.

Filmstrip Projectors

Audio cassette tapes and still pictures on a strip of film synchronize to produce a presentation on these machines.
