This course focuses on the theoretical bases, practical applications, process orientations, and actual intervention into
complex multiparty, multi-issue public disputes regarding management of the coastal zone. The emphasis is on
social/environmental interactions and sources of political and economic conflict over human health environmental protection and
natural resource scarcity.
