Donation Opportunities

"The Mission of the Oceanographic Center is to carry out innovative, basic, and applied research and to provide high-quality, graduate and undergraduate education in a broad range of marine-science and related disciplines. The Center also serves as a community resource for information, research, and education on oceanographic and environmental issues."

The Oceanographic Center at Nova Southeastern University is one of the nation's premier institutions for marine and coastal research and education. We are dedicated to the goal of protecting the world's oceans and the species that inhabit them. Our faculty and staff conduct a broad range of research on local, regional, national, and global levels. Interests include marine biology, physical and chemical oceanography, invertebrate zoology, microbiology, and molecular biology. We host two preeminent research institutes. The National Coral Reef Institute protects and restores coral reefs throughout the world. The Guy Harvey Research Institute is dedicated to conserving the diversity of life in our seas. The Institute of Marine and Coastal Studies is the academic arm of the Center and offers challenging master's and doctoral degrees with majors in marine biology, marine environmental sciences, coastal zone management, oceanography, and physical oceanography.

Please consider supporting our world-class class scientific activities through endowments, monetary donations, vessel (or auto) donations, or other ways of your choice. Donation opportunities include:

  • Named building
  • Named research vessel
  • Named faculty chair
  • Key research equipment
  • Faculty endowments
  • Student scholarships
  • Library facilities and subscriptions

The depth and span of the NSU Oceanographic Center research and education cannot be covered by tuition alone. It requires the generosity of those who recognize the value of, and the need for, understanding the resources of the ocean. With your support, we can enhance our facilities and programs in order to pursue new opportunities to focus our resources on important marine issues facing our world. And with your help, we can maintain our commitment to the use of the latest technology, ensure adequate laboratory resources, improve our ability to attract and retain the finest faculty, and expand opportunities for deserving students through scholarships and fellowships.

Your gift enhances the conduct of high quality research and education at NSU OC by ensuring that NSU builds upon its excellent reputation for years to come.

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Nova Southeastern University Oceanographic Center. Please make your gift today. NSU OC researchers, educators, and students are counting on your generosity!
