NSU's Fischler School to Offer Programs via DirecTV
Two-week certificate programs are being offered to teachers, professors, school administrators and instructional designers throughout Latin America

FORT LAUDERDALE-DAVIE— Nova Southeastern University 's Fischler School of Education and Human Services and the Cl@se Channel of the Cisneros Foundation invite the public to the certificate program “Nova Cl@se” that will be broadcast via DirecTV throughout South America. Classes will be broadcast three times as a year in three-month segments. Each class will last two weeks, with a one-hour TV program and two-week supporting activities online.

The certificate program will be open to teachers, professors, school administrators and corporate instructional designers that would like to further their knowledge in the use of newer instructional technologies and telecommunications in education.

The certificate program will focus on eight major themes, which represent a synthesis of Nova Southeastern University‘s experiences in the field. Nova Southeastern University is a pioneering university in the fields of distance education and uses of technology in education.

Outstanding experts in the selected content areas will present their experiences in the pedagogical use of educational technologies.

Objective: To present in depth information about the use of computing and telecommunication technologies in education.

Course Format: Eight TV broadcasts through the Cl@se channel, with one TV program per class, followed by two-week of online activities, including learning exercises and evaluation per theme.
