Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Announces New Dean Don Rosenblum, Ph.D., has been named the new dean of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences effective September 20, 2004. Prior to his appointment as dean, Rosenblum served at NSU for six and one half years, most recently as Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences. While serving as Associate Dean, Rosenblum was instrumental in developing and launching the college’s successful honors program as well as helping to oversee the successful transitions of the undergraduate business and education programs to the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship and the Fischler School of Education and Human Services respectively. “Since his appointment as Interim Dean of the college on May 9, 2004, Dr. Rosenblum has done an excellent job by keeping the college focused on its strategic mission and by managing the day-to-day operations with great success. Dr. Rosenblum has the leadership vision and skills necessary to lead the college’s faculty, administration, staff, and students towards achieving preeminence. He has also demonstrated a capacity to collaborate well with leaders from the other academic and administrative units across the university. The combination of these abilities outlined above makes him the best choice for the position,” said NSU president Ray Ferrero, Jr.
