Mark Jaffe, an assistant professor in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Math, Science, and Technology, reached out to the community this summer with his students through a visit to the Learning Center for Vision Impaired Seniors of Broward, Inc. in Sunrise. Jaffe presented an interactive lecture, “Take Care of Your Feet for a Lifetime,” to about 50-60 seniors, followed by free foot health screenings. This is the second year Jaffe and his students—under the auspices of the NSU Health Professions Division’s Senior Services Team—are performing health care outreach. Undergraduates interested in becoming involved in this program should contact Mark Jaffe at (954) 262-8083 or mjaffe@nsu.nova.edu.
