Irish Leader Visits NSU

The NSU community welcomed Mark Durkan, leader of the Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP) in Northern Ireland, on Tuesday, March 15. Durkan presented a stimulating and informative lecture on the current state of the peace process in Northern Ireland. The lecture was followed by a reception in the DeSantis Atrium. The event was sponsored by the Irish Peace Institute Foundation in co-operation with the Humanities Division of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, the Celtic American Law Society, the Shepard Broad Law Center, the South Florida Irish Studies Consortium, and the Milwaukee Irish Fest Foundation.
