Law Center 's Trial Competition Team Makes an Outstanding Showing against the Top 20 Law Schools

The National Criminal Justice Trial Advocacy Competition Team is a prestigious event that is by invitation only and is known as one of the most competitive in the nation. The Shepard Broad Law Center team was one of twenty schools from all over the country that participated in the tough competition. The NSU team competed against top schools, including Stanford, American, and Alabama .

NSU beat Stanford and Alabama, and barely lost to American. The round with American was a split decision, with two other judges separating the teams by only a half of a point each (out of 21 possible points).

Congratulations to the team: third-year law students Brain Mason, Gary Sheres, Clark Strandell, and Sherry Whitacre. Special thanks go to the coaches: Professor Linda Harrison and NSU alumnus Ted Daus.
