Mailman Segal Institute Completes Kresge Foundation Challenge One Year Early

Mailman Segal Institute Completes Kresge Foundation Challenge One Year Early
(L to R): Accepting a matching grant from the Community Foundation of Broward for having met a $1 Million Endowment Challenge Goal, NSU President Emeritus Dr. Abraham Fischler, NSU benefactor Jan Moran, Mailman Segal Institute Dean Dr. Wendy Masi, and NSU Trustee Ken Tate.

NSU’s Mailman Segal Institute of Early Childhood Studies was one of five Broward County organizations to complete their Kresge Foundation Challenge campaign one year early. The challenge is part of an endowment-building campaign the Kresge Foundation has undertaken nationally. Housed at the Community Foundation of Broward and established by a lead gift from Jim & Jan Moran, the endowment will enable the Mailman Segal Institute to continue to take its parenting and professional training programs into communities where they are most needed. The institute’s goal was $1 million, and was matched by a $333,000 grant from the Kresge Foundation.
