Congresswoman Wasserman-Schultz Joins University School in Making $26,000 Donation to UNICEF

U.S. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz joined Headmaster Jerry Chermak, Ph.D., at special assembly on Friday, Feb. 11, as the students of University School presented more than $26,000 to UNICEF’s Tsunami Relief campaign.

Charlyne Carruth, president of the Florida Federation of Women's Clubs, accepted the check for UNICEF.

“Essentially we are kids helping kids that are no different from us other then their location in this world,” Jared said.

In addition to the initial amount contributed, Middle School students Neil Kumar and Saajan Patel presented checks totaling over $2,600 to Middle School Director Steven Blinder and Associate Director Eva-Lynn Morrison.
