Grand Opening for the Clinic for Speech, Language and Communication

The Fischler School of Education and Human Services (FSEHS) held the grand opening of the Clinic for Speech, Language, and Communication, from 4:30–6:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 30, at its new location - 6100 Griffin Road, Davie.

Approximately 225 people attended the event to show support for the program and to enjoy a tour of the newer facility. The 21,000-square-foot, three-story building will house clinical and teaching programs and will provide diagnostic and treatment services to individuals with communication problems, as well as provide state-of-the-art evaluations and treatment for people of all ages.

Over the past 15 years, the center has provided quality services to people with communication disorders. Faculty speech-language pathologists specialize in the areas of developmental delays and disorders, autism, voice disorders, fluency, stroke and brain injury, hearing impairment, and alternative and augmentative communication.
