USAGE POLICIES
Smoking/Food:
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the HPD Library.
- Food is not permitted in the library. Any food may be confiscated by library staff
members or Public Safety personnel. Those wishing
to smoke or eat may do so in designated outside areas.
Photocopies:
In the HPD Library copy room are seven photocopiers, including a copier for the
physically challenged. Three copiers accept both cash and Smart Cards,
while the other four machines only take the Smart Card. The price per
copy is 10 cents. NSU ID's are Smart Cards.
Guests may purchase a Smart Card from the vending machine in the copy
room. A $1.00 bill must be inserted into the vending machine to
obtain this Smart Card. It will already have the value of a dollar
on it.
Use the vending machine to reload value onto both NSU ID and guest
Smart Cards. The card should be kept for all future copies made at
any of the NSU's libraries.
Contact the NSU Card Office at (954) 262-8929 if there are problems
with the functionality of the card or vending machine. If you have
difficulty with the copy machine itself, seek assistance at the library's
circulation desk.
If you find someone else's card, please bring it to the Library's
Circulation Desk or to the HPD Card Office in the Terry Building, Room
1134.

Any book bags or personal possessions remaining in the Group Study
Rooms will be removed by staff and temporarily stored at the front
Circulation Desk.
