Florida AIDS, STD, and TB Surveillance Report

Monthly statistics compiled by the Florida Division of Disease Control, detailing incidence, morbidity, and mortality of HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, and tuberculosis.

Florida Department of Health

The Department of Health site includes links to Florida emergency medical services, food hygiene, state health alerts, a directory of county health departments, online newsletters and the Practitioner Profiling database. The site also includes links to statistical resources.

Florida Statutes and Constitution

Full text electronic version of the Florida Statutes from 1993 through the Present. All Statute editions are searchable. The site also includes the Florida Constitution and the Revision Commission's Bound Journal in full text format.

Health Status Indicators

The public health statistics reflect the state of health in Florida. The report compares annual data for each county for the last three years with statewide data for the same period and county goals for 2001. Subjects in the statistical analysis include infant mortality, neonatal mortality, infectious diseases, AIDS, dental health, stroke deaths, liver disease, and diabetes death.

Online Sunshine

The official guide to the State of Florida Legislature, the site includes a directory of members, bills, and committees for both the state House and Senate. Options also include lobbyist information and links to state governmental departments.

Practitioner Profiling

The Practitioner Profiling database from the Florida Health Department was designed to provide consumers access to extensive information about Medical, Osteopathic, Podiatric and Chiropractic Physicians. Currently the database is not complete. If you wish to obtain information on medical malpractice payments, that information is not maintained as a part of the profiling documents. Civil medical malpractice payment information may be obtained from the county in which the practitioner is working. Other medical malpractice payment information may be obtained by contacting the Department of Insurance.
