Where and when is the graduation rehearsal?
The rehearsal for the August commencement is scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2009 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. The rehearsal will be held in the Steele Auditorium, 3200 S. University Drive, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. There will be a graduation luncheon for graduates in all participating programs of the College of Allied Health and Nursing at 1:00 p.m., prior to the start of the rehearsal.
How long do the ceremonies last? How early can I schedule an after-graduation celebration?
The HPD Commencement ceremony usually lasts about 2 1/2 hours. However, students have 45 minutes to return their caps and gowns, and then there is a lot of traffic leaving the arena, so we would suggest that you make any dinner reservations or plans for no earlier than 5:00 P.M.
Do my guests need tickets?
Yes, each August graduate will be given tickets for their family and friends to gain entrance into the arena. The number of tickets will be determined on Monday, July 6, 2009.
