Transfer Students
If you are transferring from another institution to Nova Southeastern University:
- Contact the NSU Office of Student Financial Assistance counselor
as well as the transfer institution you are currently attending.
- Make sure that you have included the NSU school code (001509) on
your Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) when you apply for financial aid to assure
that your financial aid has been electronically transmitted to the
NSU Office of Student Financial Assistance. If you have not, you may
use the DRN# found on the Student Aid Report and call the Department
of Education at 1-800-433-3243 to request that NSU be sent the financial
aid information electronically.
- For Florida Bright Futures recipients or other State aid programs,
contact the State of Florida Department of Education - Office of Student
Financial Assistance in Tallahassee at 1-888-827-2004 to inform them
of your transfer or change the school code on their Web site at www.floridastudentfinancialaid.org.
- For Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG) and the Florida Resident
Access Grant (FRAG), you must complete the NSU
State Aid Application.
Your cumulative GPA may need to be checked for program eligibility,
therefore,
your
official
academic
transcript(s)
must have been received and reviewed by your NSU program advisor.
You must enroll for a minimum of 12 credits per term (10 credits
for nursing students) by the end of
the drop/add period.
- For Federal Stafford Loan recipients, contact your lender of your plans to transfer.
