Emergency Loans
The Office of Student Financial Assistance administers a modest loan fund for students who encounter emergency situations prior to receipt of financial aid refunds. To qualify:
- the student must be receiving financial aid.
- the total financial aid must be sufficient to cover total charges due the university, the loan amount and the processing fee charged.
- the student's financial aid file must be complete.
- the student must be enrolled for the term.
- Maximum Loan is $500 per term
Students must complete an Emergency Loan Application and Promissory Note. Applications for upcoming terms will be accepted two weeks prior to the start of the term. Only one emergency loan will be awarded to a student per term provided they meet all qualifications. Funds will either be disbursed through direct deposit or mailed to the student's current address within 48 hours, depending on application volume.
