Policies and Procedures

World Wide Web Pages

The University's "Format and Design Guide" (www.nova.edu/common-lib/policies/) outlines the procedures for establishing official university web pages and offers useful information about the University's Internet resources, including common libraries containing standard html templates and graphics, as well as guidelines for creating a user-friendly web page. Individuals interested in creating official web pages must sign the Information Provider Agreement and attend training sessions before beginning.

Recognizing the values of free expression and academic freedom, NSU encourages faculty and students to take advantage of the creative possibilities and intellectual benefits of Internet exploration and communication. The policies contained in this guide do not apply to "unofficial" pages, such as faculty home pages, student resumes, etc. Creators of "unofficial" pages are expected to abide by existing policies governing computer use, including the University's Policy on Acceptable Use of Computing Resources.
