All requests for sending mass email must be submitted to and approved by an authorized Mass Email Information Provider (MEIP). For a list of Mass Email Information Providers, please visit www.nova.edu/common-lib/massmail/contacts.html.
To become a Mass Email Information Provider, please use the form located at www.nova.edu/common-lib/policies/meipa.html. In order for the Web Team to process your mass email request in a timely manner, it is important to adhere to the following guidelines and standards:
Guidelines for Message Composition
Mass email messages should be as brief as possible, free of spelling and grammatical errors, and targeted to a specific audience. The content of the message is the sole responsibility of the requestor.
All requests for mass email must include the following information:
- Requestor's Name
- Requestor's Phone
- Requestor's Email
- Date Email to be sent
- Email Address to be sent From: (email address that appears in the From: field and that replies will be sent to)
- Audience to be sent To: (the population who will receive the message, choose from the options)
- Subject Line
- Message text
Making a Mass Email Request
MEIPs may submit mass email requests via the Mass Email Request form at www.nova.edu/cwis/cgi-bin/nsu-only/mmweb.cgi. Access to this form is restricted to MEIPs and requires an NSU email name and password.
Customized Email Lists
MEIPs may request ITSS to compile a specific population of recipient for a particular mass email messages. All requests involving ITSS creating customized email lists require 5 business days to complete.
Delivery Scheduling
Scheduling delivery of mass email is on a first come, first served basis. Scheduling of mass email jobs typically requires lead time of 3 to 4 business days, please keep this in mind.
Approval Process
EIPs are authorized to send mass email messages to the students, faculty and staff of their school. Non-standard mass email requests must be coordinated between the requestor, authorized MEIPs and OIT.
