Frequently Asked Questions

Disability Accommodations

What if disability accommodations are needed?

We encourage students who need accommodations to notify the Office of Student Disability Services either via email or by telephone at (954) 262-7185 at least two weeks in advance of the event. If the office is not contacted in a timely fashion, we cannot guarantee that the requested accommodations will be available. You can also join us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/nsudisability.

Candidate's guests may seek assistance from the BankAtlantic Center Access Service Center, which is located at the Guest Services Center on the Plaza Level. Individuals should bring their own or rented wheelchairs or walkers if they have limited mobility. Wheelchairs and other such devices will not be provided by the BankAtlantic Center.

Is wheelchair-accessible seating available at the BankAtlantic Center? Where?

Wheelchair-accessible seating is available for guests on a first-come, first-served basis in Sections 102, 104, 107, 109, 112, 115, 117, 119, and 134, which is easily reached from the main plaza area. Only one guest may accompany those who require wheelchair-accessible seating so as to secure enough seats for all of our guests with special needs.

Ninety accessible parking spaces are available for guests with special needs on the northeast and southeast corners of the BankAtlantic Center (BAC). Only vehicles legally using disabled license plates or window cards are permitted to park in these designated spaces. For more information on Center parking, please call the BAC parking manager at (954) 835-7275.
