Cardiopulmonary Sciences
Curriculum and Requirements
The Department of Cardiopulmonary Sciences, located at our Palm Beach Student Educational Center, has applied for accreditation with the CoARC (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) for the first-professional Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care program.
Below are the requirements for entry into the program as well as the professional curriculum. Enrollment will not begin until we receive provisional accreditation from the CoARC.

Admission to the BSRT First-Professional program
- Completion of all prerequisite coursework listed below with a minimum grade of C, from a regionally accredited college of university.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale from all undergraduate work.
- Minimum cumulative Science GPA of 2.75.
- Application with writing sample, two evaluations (reference) forms and an application fee. The writing sample must include the following: 1) A clear statement of the goals set for entering the BSRT program.
- Official transcripts from each high school, university/college attended.
Prerequisites
- Prerequisite credit may be transferred into Nova Southeastern University from a regionally accredited college or university. The Office of Transfer Evaluation Services will review all courses for equivalence.
