Physician Assistant Program - Southwest Florida
Welcome to the fully accredited Physician Assistant Program - Southwest Florida! Part of Nova Southeastern University's College of Health Care Sciences, this PA Program is the only PA Program on the southwest coast of Florida. The program is housed in a state of the art, 60,000 square foot facility, in Fort Myers, Florida. It is conveniently located at exit 136 (Colonial Boulevard) off of I-75 in Fort Myers.
The Physician Assistant (PA) Program Southwest Florida is based upon the successful model of the Fort Lauderdale program, which has been continuously accredited since its inception in 1993. The NSU PA Program SW Florida currently has 10 full time faculty including a full time Medical Director, and one shared faculty member who teaches basic sciences in the PA program and nursing programs. With a maximum enrollment of 64 students, the program is able to offer a low student to faculty ratio.
55 students graduated in August 2012. 54 of them have taken the PANCE to date and we are happy to report a 98% first-time pass rate! There is currently a class of 59 students in the clinical phase of the program and there are 61 students in the academic phase of the program.
