Welcome to Nova Southeastern University's Physician Assistant Program and your first step toward a rewarding and challenging new career as a health care professional. The Academic Year will begin at the Health Professions Division campus in Davie, Florida on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 and we are looking forward to seeing you again. The faculty and staff are committed to providing you with the finest resources as well as the best learning opportunities possible. The New Student Orientation & Pre-Arrival Information website compiled by Student Affairs provides vital information in setting up your NSU email, completing your background check, health forms, and parking permits. Please make sure to read the site thoroughly and complete all the necessary information.
In addition, the Physician Assistant Program would like to share vital information which needs to be completed before you matriculate into the program. Please read all the information below to ensure that you are ready to begin your journey to becoming a Physician Assistant. Summer 2013 Course Information
Please note that you will be pre-registered for your Summer 2013 courses. This means you DO NOT need to register for courses this semester; it will be completed for you. All subsequent semesters will require you to self-register and you will receive appropriate information at that time.
Medical Terminology Course Syllabus
Please review the Medical Terminology Course Syllabus. Please note that the Medical Terminology course is an independent learning course. Please allow sufficient time to study the proper materials to prepare for your exam scheduled in mid-June.
PA Diagnostic Equipment List
Students in the Physician Assistant Program will be required to have their own diagnostic equipment in order to perform physical examinations. The PA Diagnostic Equipment List is a complete outline of all equipment needed.
An equipment fair will be held during the first week of class, and it is advisable to hold off on purchasing equipment before orientation. If you would like to know more about the options offered at the equipment fair, you can review the information from our two attending distributors:
