Odoo K. McCallum, MPH, CHES
Originally from Guyana, Mr. McCallum joined the faculty in 2004 after completing his master's degree in Public Health / Epidemiology from the Universiteit van Maastricht in the Netherlands. He is the Clinical Director and is a qualitative researcher whose research interests include, public health education, prevention research, program planning and evaluation. Mr. McCallum also holds adjunct faculty appointment with the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences at Nova Southeastern University.
Professor McCallum is currently pursuing his PhD studies in Public Health at the Universiteit van Maastricht School of Health Professions Education, researching the interdependence of culture and psychosocial behavior on breast cancer screening compliance among African-American women.
As a continuation of his efforts to strengthen the Health Education profession he is active and supportive of the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. (NCHEC), the professional credentialing agency for Health Education.
On a personal level, he is a licensed minister, enjoys traveling, and is passionate about soccer and his family life.
