C. Richard Finley, Ed.D, PA-C, DFAAPA
Dr. Finley joined the faculty of the Physician Assistant Program in July 1996 as a Clinical Instructor, and currently holds the rank of Associate Professor.
He began his clinical career as a physician assistant while on active duty in the United States Air Force, having graduated from the School of Heath Care Sciences at Sheppard Air Force Base with a Bachelor of Science as Physician Associate conferred by the University of Oklahoma in November 1982. He retired from the Air Force in May 1992, and worked as a Locum Tenens physician assistant until joining the faculty at Nova Southeastern University (NSU).
Dr. Finley completed a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree, with an emphasis in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, through the Distance Learning Option of the University of Nebraska, with degree conferral in April 1998; and completed a Doctor of Education in Instructional Technology and Distance Education at the Fischler School of Education and Human Services of NSU, with degree conferral in December 2006.
Research Interests:
Electronic medical records and handheld computing by physician assistants in clinical practice.
