Dr. Finley joined the faculty of the Physician Assistant Program in July 1996 as a Clinical Instructor and held several positions in the program prior to being appointed Program Director in August, 2016. He currently holds the rank of Associate Professor
He began his clinical career as a physician assistant while on active duty in the United States Air Force, having graduated from the School of Heath Care Sciences at Sheppard Air Force Base with a Bachelor of Science as Physician Associate conferred by the University of Oklahoma in November 1982. He retired from the Air Force in May 1992, and worked as a Locum Tenens physician assistant until joining the faculty at Nova Southeastern University (NSU).
Dr. Finley completed a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree, with an emphasis in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, through the Distance Learning Option of the University of Nebraska, with degree conferral in April 1998; and completed a Doctor of Education in Instructional Technology and Distance Education at the Fischler College of Education of NSU, with degree conferral in December 2006.
