The Robert Weisberg Scholarship Fund

Robert Weisberg is a true example of the power of perseverance. Growing up in Boston, his family did not have a lot of money. Through his own merit, he was able to attend college at Northeastern University. He became a successful banking executive and a figure in the community through his involvement on several boards of directors.

Weisberg's association with NSU spans two generations. He has a son who is an NSU student, and Weisberg himself sits on the Dean's Council for the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences.

Financial issues sometimes are the biggest obstacles for talented students. Scholarships provide solutions for people who come to NSU with aspirations to change lives. Because education changed his life, and because he appreciates the opportunities that NSU has given his son, Weisberg wants to be part of the solution.

The Robert Weisberg Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to undergraduate students in NSU's Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences. The selection of students to receive the scholarship will be made by the Scholarship Committee of the Office of the Dean of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences.

Part of NSU's Vision 2020 includes the core value to remain student centered. This is a promise to keep NSU students at the forefront of institutional priorities, resource decisions, and planning. Scholarships like The Robert Weisberg Scholarship Fund foster this promise because they enable the university's undergraduates, faculty, and programs of study to continue to thrive.
