Institutional Advancement sets Example with 100% Staff ParticipationNSU's Office of Institutional Advancement has reached an important milestone in its Faculty/Staff Giving Campaign. This year, the department achieved 100 percent participation.
"100 percent participation is important because every gift makes a difference, regardless of size," said Michael D'Eugenio, NSU's Director of Annual Giving. "Support from faculty and staff sends a strong message to external constituents, letting them know NSU employees support NSU's Vision 2020."
Efraim Hernandez (M.B.A. '04), Director of Advancement Services, says his decision to give came from belief in NSU's mission and a feeling of campus community. "I have worked at NSU for fifteen years, yet I feel more engaged than ever before. I'm proud of my degree and the progress I've seen at the university."
New Institutional Advancement employees are equally inspired about supporting the college's annual efforts. Deborah Meline, Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship, comments "working at a not for profit institution is more than a profession. It represents a commitment to the core values and mission of the institution."
Giving to the Faculty/Staff Campaign is something everyone at NSU can be proud of. It builds a stronger community, improves the university's national ranking, enhances our academic programs, and provides funding for research. Most importantly however, gifts to the campaign, no matter the size, become opportunities for current and future students to have an exceptional NSU experience.
