Katy joined the Office of Career Development in July 2017 as a Graduate Assistant, Career Advisor. She was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio which is home to the Cincinnati Reds. She is also completing her Master’s in College Student Affairs here at NSU.

Katy graduated from the University of Cincinnati (UC) in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Psychology. She also received her Master’s certificate in Marketing in 2013. While attending the University of Cincinnati, she served as a Student Convocation Leader and as a Student Ambassador. A few fun facts about the University of Cincinnati: the first antihistamine, Benadryl, was invented by George Rieveschl, a UC graduate and researcher; Astronaut, Neil Armstrong, first man to walk on the moon, taught aerospace engineering at UC from 1971-1980.

Katy has a passion for education and helping students reach their goals. She is excited to continue helping students reach their goals as part of the Career Development team at NSU! Katy believes that her heart belongs in Florida. She loves running and hot yoga.
