Lori was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida. She has been a member of the NSU Shark community since 2001. Lori completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, a Master of Science degree in Mental Health and Criminal Justice, and in June of 2016, she completed her Doctoral degree in Family Therapy. While pursuing her undergraduate degree at NSU, Lori began working for the Undergraduate Academic Advising Center. She served 12 years in the role of an Academic Advisor, assisting undergraduate students with the transition to college. In September of 2016 Lori joined the Career Development team as the Assistant Director of STEM Outreach.
Lori’s role in the Career Development office is a new position that is tied to a Title V Grant that the University was awarded. In this new role she will be working with the College of Engineering and Computing assisting them with their undergraduate population. Lori looks forward to working with this population and educating them on all the possible opportunities a undergraduate and/or graduate degree can provide.
In her spare time Lori enjoys spending time with her husband, their son, and playing Disk Golf with family and friends. She also adores working with clients in the private practice sector.
