Katie was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida. She has been a member of the NSU community for many years in a multitude of roles. Katie received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in 2004. While pursuing her undergraduate degree at NSU she took a student employee position as a Student Administrative Assistant in Career Services. This was her first exposure to Student Affairs in Higher Education. After graduation Katie worked in Development and Marketing for five years before returning to NSU in January of 2009. She continued pursuing her passion for higher education administration by receiving a Master of Science in College Student Affairs from the university. In January of 2015 Katie joined the Career Development team as the Assistant Director of Graduate Transitions.
Katie is currently the Associate Director of STEM Initiatives and Outreach in the Career Development office; which is tied to a Title V Grant that the University was awarded. In this role she works with computer science and engineering majors, assisting them in building their professional skills as they transition into graduate school and/or their career.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She feels fortunate to live in such a beautiful and diverse community; and loves that her children can also.
