Business Week

On the week of October 19th of this year, the Career Development Office and the Huizenga Business College will be hosting an exciting program entitled “Business Week” in the Carl Desantis Building. Each day of the week will have an event or two that incorporates an industry within business and have current employers on campus to engage and network with students. The event also provides an avenue to get a better understand of your area of Business, steps you should take to reach your goals and an avenue to network with current employers as well as showcase the skills and abilities you can offer. Lunch Bytes

Want to connect with employers in the Computer Science industry? Are you not sure if graduate school is for you? Looking to start your internship search? The Lunch Bytes series focuses on connecting students with employers and industry specific needs.

Trick to the Treat

Hear student present on their Biology and Medicine Internship and research experiences.  Learn how and why to apply to a science related internship and research opportunity.  Have your questions answered by faculty and career staff members. 

Employer Engagement Workshops

Interact with employers across various industries with an interest in engaging with NSU students for potential internship opportunities.

Holiday Extravaganza

The Holiday Extravaganza is a time to celebrate the completion of the semester with the Career Ambassadors. Come enjoy snacks and a fun activity!

Career Ambassador Workshops

Career Ambassador Workshops are student run workshops that cater to the career needs of undergraduates. They are interactive and cover topics like social media in the workplace, LinkedIn profiles, and how Career Development can help you prepare for the next step after college!

Veteran Workshops

Career Development is proud to offer our Student Veteran Workshop Series as a resource to guide our veteran students throughout their time at NSU. Workshops will focus on topics that will help student veterans succeed in their career purists, such as career exploration and planning, resume writing for federal positions, and networking with employers.

Career Expo

Are you looking for an internship or full-time job?  Do you need to network in order for find a job after you graduate? The Career Expo is your opportunity to interact with over 70 employers looking to hire.

Pre-Health Day

The Career Development Office hosts a Pre-Health Day conference every year in the winter semester. The Pre-Health Day is a great opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in healthcare to gain insights on the application process for medical, dental, optometry, physical/occupational therapy and all other professional schools. This will also be an ideal avenue to network with current professionals in the field and hear their journey towards reaching their career goals. The Pre-Health day will consist of Panel Mock Interviews facilitated by current faculty members and professional staff, breakout sessions led by current Healthcare professionals, a panel of current Health Professions Division (HPD) students who will share their own experiences in their respective programs, and finally a workshop on admissions and managing the application process.
