Branding your organization at NSU will give you the opportunity to cultivate relationships with students, beginning in their freshman year, throughout the duration of their studies. Increased visibility on our campus will also enable your organization to establish name recognition, allowing you to become successful at recruiting the best and brightest students and alumni Florida has to offer.
Career Development at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) adheres to the Principles for Professional Practice set forth by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). Employers must follow guidelines to recruit students and alumni from NSU.
Interview Room Features:
The three interview rooms are equipped with HD monitors, wireless connectivity, and video cameras. The video cameras allow you to record interview session(s). The recording(s) can be broadcast on the internet, allowing other members of your organization to view the session in real time. Recordings can also be saved for up to 30 days, allowing you to re-review your sessions from the comfort of your own office.
Employers participating in the On-Campus Interview Program may park in any visitor spot or in the Public Library and Student Main Parking Garage. The Office of Career Development will not reimburse employers for parking, nor is the office responsible for any parking tickets received during the visit on-campus visit.
This option allows you to set your desired criteria for your position. Applicants are screened prior to applying and only those applicants who meet your criteria are eligible to apply.
If you or other members of your organization cannot physically visit us (due to distance or any other reason), this option is for you. Upon request, webcams can be placed in interview rooms which allow for interactive Skype interviews. This option can be used in combination with pre-select.

Your organization may facilitate workshops, panel discussions, classroom visits, and recruitment tables at NSU. We will assist your organization in developing a strategic recruitment plan to reach targeted student populations through partnerships with student organizations, athletics, and faculty.
Brand your organization and provide constructive feedback to our student-candidates through our Resume Critique and Mock Interview programs. These events are opportunities to increase your presence on campus, while you meet and network with students in a relaxed environment.
You have the opportunity to show your commitment to the NSU student population through direct financial support of events and programs put on by the Office of Career Development. Some sponsorship benefits include highlighting your organization on the Office of Career Development Web site, program marketing materials, and publications as a featured sponsor.
All job positing and requests for on-campus interviews or presentations are reviewed and approved by the Office of Career Development, which reserves the right to remove any job positing or deny on-campus recruitment without notice or explanation to the employer.
All cancellations of on-campus recruitment sessions must be completed in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org, three business days in advance of the scheduled event in order to receive a refund. All cancellations or changes to on-campus interview schedules in the Carl DeSantis Building must be communicated directly to your interviewees, and in writing to email@example.com.
The Office of Career Development adheres to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) policy on recruiting that requires all recruiting activity (including all presentations, interview sessions, and employer-sponsored events on- or off-campus) to be alcohol free.
The Office of Career Development makes its interviewing facilities and position-listing services available to employers who do not unlawfully discriminate in the selection of candidates on the basis of national origin, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law. Any employer who makes use of the Universities facilities or services must agree to abide by this policy and, if interviewing students, talk in good faith with students who have been selected for an interview and to refrain from questioning students regarding the above protected classifications.
We recognize that employers have certain constraints in the flexibility they have to accommodate student needs, but we ask employers to refrain from presenting exploding offers, which exert undue pressure on students by making offers with unreasonable time limits (less than two weeks) or time-sensitive penalties. Please allow students the time necessary to make responsible and well-informed decisions about employment offers.
NACE Offer Policy Guidelines
Third-party representative will conduct recruiting at NSU under the name of the hiring organization. The Office of Career Development will be permitted to verify this information by contacting the named client(s) to ensure compliance with NACE and Nova Southeastern University policies.
Under no circumstances can student information be disclosed for any reason other than recruiting purposes with the designated client(s), nor can it be sold or distributed to other entities. Third-party recruiters coming to NSU campus will represent only one firm during the Internship and Job Fair.
If you would like to register as a Third-Party Employer with NSU’s Career Development: Employer Relations, your organization must adhere to our guidelines, policies, and national best practices procedures described above. (See NACE Principles for Professional Practice)
Selection by Citizenship or National Origin
Since NSU has the privilege to educate outstanding individuals of varying backgrounds, employers may encounter an international student on their interview schedule. U.S. laws and regulations require certain treatment of international students. Screening candidates based on citizenship or national origin is prohibited. While employers can hire only persons authorized to work in the U.S. there are a number of categories of persons authorized to do so. It is prohibited to ask which category a person fits. Employers may ask if an applicant is legally authorized to work in the U.S., and may also ask if the applicant will now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status. However, employers may not use visa type as a screening tool to deny a qualified, employment-authorized position. The only exception is a position posting that specifically stated a requirement for U.S. citizenship due to grant funding requirements or other specific regulations. Employers must refrain for asking interview questions regarding a candidate’s citizenship or nation origin, including questions about primary language, acquisition of foreign language reading skills, residency states, or ancestry.
