Mentor Responsibilities

• Help students acquire skills, knowledge, and information that will smooth their transition into the “real world.”
  
  
  
• Teach students to communicate effectively with professionals to develop their network of resources.
  
  
  
• Help students become dynamic and independent individuals.
  
  
  
• Demonstrate interest in establishing a special relationship with current NSU students.
  
  
  
• Maintain professionalism at all times.
  
  
  
• Once a mentoring relationship has begun, the mentor is not to withdraw from the program until it is completed, unless mitigating circumstances arise.
